About Me

Hey everyone, let me start off by introducing myself. 

My name is Shelby and I am a mother to a beautiful one year old baby girl, Maelyn, and am engaged to the greatest father in the world and my best friend, Patrick. I am a young mom from New Orleans, Louisiana. I love to read, crochet, do crafts and D.I.Y projects, cook, try new things, and most of all be a mother. I love to be organized. I am the person who wishes she could just 'go with the flow' but in reality, I panic when things aren't going as planned and on schedule. I have a Daycare Specialist degree, but decided that right now I want to spend most of my time with my little one. That being said, for the now I am a seasonal tax preparer, so I get to spend 7 out of 12 months being a full time stay at home mother and housewife. 

I started blogging because I always loved writing and wanted to share my experiences as a mom with the world. The good moments, the bad, and the ugly. I hope you enjoy reading about my everyday life of being Just Simply A Mommy as much as I love sharing them.
